Founded in 2015 by European-trained conductors Kaoru Tani and Kota Yanagishima, vocalconsort initium is a chamber choir dedicated to the art of polyphony. Its name, initium, means "beginning" in Latin. The ensemble brings together professional musicians—including soloists and choral directors—to deliver high-caliber performances. Their mission is to explore and express the true essence of choral music, regardless of the period or region, through sophisticated ensemble singing.
